After spending all season wondering what really happened between Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes, the source of their feud was revealed in the final part of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

This is probably the closest viewers will get to knowing why the former reality TV besties had a huge falling out.

Leakes shared her side and spoke on the incident in which she called Bailey’s husband the B word after he tried to insert himself in the drama between the women once again. While the ladies hashed it out that same night, Leakes said that it suddenly became an issue when the incident was televised.

She said she believes that Thomas encouraged Bailey to “change gears” with Leakes to earn a better position on the show. Leakes added she believes comments she made about Bailey’s daughter then 13-year-old daughter Noelle dating also rubbed Bailey the wrong way.

“She felt funny about what I said. Next thing I know the calls kind of stopped.”

Leakes went on to say that she was “blindsided” when she got to the reunion taping (of last season) and found out that Bailey requested not to sit next to her.

Bailey also gave her perspective and first denied asking to sit elsewhere. She went on to admit that when Leakes’s husband Gregg confronted Thomas about getting too aggressive with his wife, no one expected Gregg to snap the way he did. As far as NeNe's comments about Noelle, Bailey said she was taken aback because they were all in Las Vegas together when NeNe wrote them on her blog.

“At that point I was just like, ‘you know what, I’m not gonna force this.’ It was just never really the same. There it is. Please don’t ever ask me about it again.”

Still, in the end, NeNe and Bailey actually came together after NeNe had a breakdown when the topic of her mother came up. Bailey joined Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams in walking off set with NeNe. She later said that Leakes is a “survivor” and she knows Leakes’ true “heart.”

Hopefully the two will be able to bury their differences and rekindle their friendship.
