The actress took to Twitter on May 11 to honor her late boyfriend on his second birthday following his shocking death from a heroin overdose in July 2013.

"I know you're serenading everyone right now..We love you Cory! Happy Birthday," she wrote alongside a photo of Monteith playing the drums.

Monteith and Michele went public with their romance in the Fall of 2012, during their hit show's fourth season, though their romance was quickly clouded with Monteith's checking into rehab for drug addiction that following spring (he had previously opened up about his struggles with drugs as a teenager).

He and Michele remained together, and even made a final public appearance together in June. Monteith was discovered dead in a Vancouver hotel room the following month. He was 31.

Monteith's character on Glee, Finn Hudson, was then written off the show following his death, and honored in a season 5 tribute.

Michele was later revealed to be dating Matthew Paetz in April 2014, and the couple is still going strong, with the actress sharing a photo of herself and her new beau on Instagram on their one year anniversary.

However, despite moving on, it is clear she still thinks fondly of her former on-screen and off-screen love.

Some of Monteith's other former co-stars also honored the late actor on social media as well, sharing different photos and posts remembering their late friend as well.

"Happy Birthday, Brother!" Harry Shum Jr wrote alongside an Instagram post.
