There are just a couple months left until the Season 3 premiere of Masters of Sex with a lot of juicy stuff coming along.

Drama of the 60s Coming To 'Masters Of Sex'

On Sunday, Gold Derby shared an interview with series creator Michelle Ashford who mentioned one important thing- Barton and Margaret are going to appear a lot more. And whatever happens, it will definitely be worth watching.

"What we're going to do is we're going to follow both of these people- Barton Scully in a more immediate way...and Margaret Scully because she's going on this incredible adventure of what does a woman do at that age, in that time when her life essentially blows up and she has to reinvent herself. We have some great stuff planned for both of them."

The creator also opened up on the future of Dr. Masters and how he's gradually dealing with his childhood. Even though he can be a tough character, Ashford mentioned what it is she likes about him.

"He's a really fun character to watch because he's actually undergoing a remarkable transformation, and where he ends is kind of extraordinary," she said.

As for the character Johnson, Ashford pointed out something that makes this woman so incredible.

"[Johnson] was a woman really ahead of her time," the creator said. "It was just who she was naturally...she was really quite remarkable despite the fact that she would not want to be considered a feminist...but of course, she was a complete feminist."

Masters of Sex Season 3 premieres on Sunday, July 12 on Showtime.
