Derek Hough wasn't too shocked about being eliminated this week from ABC's Dancing With the Stars but he did share some "disappointment" about one particular factor.

Hough and his celebrity partner Nastia Liukin were eliminated Tuesday on Dancing With the Stars, with the couple leaving right before the final week of competition. The fan favorite pro admitted in his TVGuide.com blog Wednesday that he knew they were going home during the performance show on Monday.

"I could tell watching the show, the packages, the way they pieced everything together," Hough wrote. "It's a feeling, the energy of the room. It was an amazing show, probably one of the best we've ever had with all the judges' dances, and my intuition kicked in."

While he is grateful for the experience to dance with Liukin, he also admitted that he was disappointed that fans were not truly able to see the real her during her stint on the show, mostly due to clip packages that didn't always show her in a positive light.

"I think the thing I'm most disappointed in is that I don't think people truly saw what Nastia and our relationship were like," he explained. "We did have a great heart-to-heart last week, but we've always been close. Out of all my partners, Nastia has always been the most affectionate toward me. I'm not even exaggerating. She's an amazing friend -- and nurse! She was always asking me if I needed ice. She was constantly giving me water. She played nurse on top of juggling two partners. It's those moments, that tenderness and heart -- there was so more beauty to show, but they went for the cheap shot. I feel bad for that. But it is what it is. You can't control it."

Now only three couples remain on Dancing With the Stars: Rumer Willis & Val Chmerkovskiy, Riker Lynch & Allison Holker and Noah Galloway & Sharna Burgess.

Dancing With the Stars airs Monday at 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
