Manchester City vs Swansea takes place in the English Premier League in Saturday’s late kick off, as City look to apply pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table. Kick off is at 12.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online for free through live stream (link provided below).

City are third in the English Premier League at present, with 18 points from their opening 8 games. They have had a number of close games, but in many have been able to scrape through to get the three points and stay within touch of the top of the table.

However, City could have their heads down following another disappointing night in Europe during the week. The defeat to Ajax will have been a serious knock back for the club who are still struggling to find their feet in Europe despite having conquered the EPL last year.

City manager Roberto Mancini tried to deflect the blame from his players following that loss, saying he had failed to prepare his team properly. He will now want his players to react in a big way today, and Swansea fans will be fearing they could be in the path of a backlash.

City will be without playmaker David Silva again, as well as Pablo Zabaleta - both are out with hamstring injuries. Meanwhile James Milner it out with a one-game suspension, and Maicon, Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell are all sidelined.

Swansea could be intimidated by City’s home record - they are unbeaten in their last 33 EPL games at the Etihad Stadium. During that period only three teams have taken any points away after visiting there.

City have also won their last six games at home against Swansea, and Swansea have to look all the way back to 1951 for the last time they beat City away.

However, the Manchester City defense will be the main focal point - for both the home team and the away side. City will be looking to shore up in defense having only kept one clean sheet in their past 14 games, conceding 24 goals over that period. Swansea will have seen that record and it will have given them a glimmer of hope.
