The Young and the Restless star Greg Rikaart has finally made it official by tying the knot with his longtime boyfriend Robert Sudduth.

On Friday, E! News reported that the television start announcing his happily-ever-after on Twitter when he shared a picture from the ceremony.

Rikaart posted the photo with the caption, "Holy matrimony," on Wednesday. The stunning image showed the two grooms on a beach.

The water and mountains that stood behind them along with the way the sun was shining through the clouds made for a beautiful setting for the wedding.

It turns out the two were in Maui to tie the knot. Rikaart announced it on his tweet the next day that read, "So much love today. Thanks for it all. Rob and I have enjoyed reading your kind wishes. Mahalo, as they say here on Maui."

Gay Stars News reported last month that Rikaart hopes the producers of The Young and the Restless will have his character come out of the closet.

"I want him to come out. I think it would be a super interesting story to tell...I think it would be more socially responsible than just bringing on a gay character-to have someone on the canvas that the audience knows and thinks of as family and takes that [coming out] journey."
