Something 'Frightening' Is Coming To 'The Originals'

On Monday, TV Fanatic posted a video with Daniel Gillies who plays Elijah on the supernatural drama. When he was asked if his character will have a future with Hayley, the actor responded with, "Maybe there's a future."

Gillies then made it clear that it's going to be up to the writers on what happens next, but at this point, it's going to be about Elijah's relationship with his brother Klaus.

"To make a forecast about everything that is going to happen is sort of ridiculous, but I think we're just going to explore the rift between the brothers," Gillies said.

In a previous report from Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Michael Narducci mentioned that the writers are toying with the idea of adding a fresh new villain to the series, so viewers will want to be prepared.

"That's what we've been talking about in the writers' room for a very long time now," the producer said. "I think when we are finally able to reveal what's happening, it should make a lot of sense and feel like the next stage in what this family will need to go through and deal with. It's pretty frightening and we're having a lot of fun with it."

The Originals Season 3 premieres this fall on The CW.
