He was all for posing as Duke's killer so he could keep his cover as an informant and keep himself out of jail, but following the hit on him that put Hayden (Rebecca Budig) in a coma, Jake (Billy Miller) will make a shocking decision about his future on General Hospital.

Jake Starts Coming Between Patrick and Sam

Jake has been posing as a member of the Jerome crime organization as part of a deal with Police Commissioner Sloane (Grayson McCouch) so he wouldn't have to face jail time for the litany of charges against him stemming from Helena's mind control. However, since Duke's murder at the hands of Carlos and Julian (Michael DeVry), Jake has been the assumed killer by the Corinthos organization--and the main target of new hatred and attacks.

Now, after realizing the kind of danger that put him and anyone around him in, he will decide to take the option of jail time for his previous crimes instead--shocking Sloane in the process.

Jake and Sam Try To Figure Out What Hayden Knows

"What are you doing here?" he asks Jake in a preview clip for the Friday, May 22 episode.

"We need to talk," Jake replies.

However, despite Jake's demands, Sloane may be too busy to really do anything with his informant at the moment. He has been too busy taking care of a distraught Anna (Finola Hughes) since Duke's death--which included his helping cover up the fact that she has since murdered Carlos in retaliation. And now, Anna may need him more than ever, as she continues to be haunted by the memories of what was and what will now never be because Duke is gone.

"Shut up! Shut Up!" she screams to herself in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
