Presidential Polls 2012: Obama, Romney RealClearPolitics Results
RealClearPolitics listed on Wednesday the newest poll results for the upcoming presidential election, with its Nov. 6 deadline less than a week away. Updated on Oct. 31, here are the latest findings:
Michigan - Detroit News Poll: Obama 48 percent, Romney 45 percent [Obama +3]
Virginia - Roanoke College: Obama 44 percent, Romney 49 percent [Romney + 5]
Virginia - CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac: Obama 49 percent, Romney 47 percent [Obama + 2]
Ohio - CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac: Obama 50 percent, Romney 45 percent [Obama +5]
Florida - CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac: Obama 48 percent, Romney 47 percent [Obama +1]
Pennsylvania - Franklin & Marshall: Obama 49, Romney 45 percent [Obama +4]
Illinois - WeAskAmerica: Obama 57 percent, Romney 41 percent [Obama +16]
Massachusetts - Rasmussen Reports: Obama 59 percent, Romney 40 [Obama + 19]
Election Day 2012 is Nov. 6. The candidates have less than a week to make their final efforts before the public takes to the polls however President Obama took out time recently to focus his attention on other events occurring in the United States. On Monday, he addressed the nation about Hurricane Sandy, cautioning the public to "prepare for the fact that this is going to take a long time for us to clean up."
Addressing the presidential election and him being up against his Republican competitor Mitt Romney, the president said the following:
"The election will take care of itself next week. Right now out number one priority is to make sure that we are saving lives, that our search and rescue teams are going to be in place, that people are going to get the food, the water, the shelter that they need in case of emergency and that we respond as quickly as possible to get the economy back on track."
He suspended campaigning for the third day on Wednesday. Romney returned to the campaign trail and said that his upcoming rally in Ohio into a "storm relief event," according to Fox News.
