Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is heading over to The Today Show on June 1 for his very first TV interview since his car accident from last June.

Tracy Morgan Spotted Walking Months After Catastrophic Car Crash

Morgan was in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with friends on the New Jersey Turnpike when a tractor-trailer operated by Wal-Mart struck them just after 1 a.m. ET on June 7.

Morgan suffered very bad injuries from the accident including a broken leg and femur. He also suffered from head trauma and dealt with other broken bones too. He was in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital until June 20 of last year and then was in a rehabilitation center until July 12 as reported by USA Today at the time.

In the horrific crash, Morgan's friend, comedian James McNair otherwise known by his stage name Jimmy Mack, was killed.

The 46-year-old issued a lawsuit against Wal-Mart last July, which has officially been settled as reported by Reuters Wednesday. 

He said the company "did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably," in a statement.

NBC revealed Thursday, the news that Morgan will be appearing on Today for an interview with Matt Lauer.

The 46-year-old's lawyer Benedict Morelli will also be present for the interview.

Morgan remains "critically injured" from the motor vehicle accident.

This live televised interview comes just days before the anniversary of the crash.
