On Sunday, the Modern Family star took to Twitter to respond to a post on how her beau Dominic Sherwood should be considered for Choice Male Hottie at the big summer event. When this was brought up, Hyland made it clear that she would definitely put Sherwood under that category.

Sherwood and Hyland worked together in the teen horror flick Vampire Academy. He is now working on new TV series Shadowhunters where he'll play a demon fighter.

Meanwhile, Hyland appeared on the May 2015 issue of Seventeen where she opened up on how important it is to keep moving forward after facing a difficult experience.

"When you're feeling vulnerable, it can lead to doubt and second-guessing," the actress said, posted on News.com. "It will steer you away from your goals and your happiness. Once you have a goal, keep moving forward- even if you're taking baby steps."

Hyland also revealed that she was born with a lot of health problems and it made her realize that she wanted to live life to the fullest extent.

"When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me," the 24-year-old said. "If I can't have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one. If you set your mind to something, you'll achieve it."
