Aaron Hernandez's lawyers are working hard to overturn his first-degree murder conviction in the 2013 Odin Lloyd murder case.

Is Ex-NFLer/Convicted Killer Aaron Hernandez Completely Drained Of Money?

The former NFL tight end star was found guilty on April 15 and is currently serving a life sentence in prison without the option of parole.

"They got it wrong. I didn't do it," the 25-year-old said while being transported from the courthouse to prison on that day as reported by CNN.

Aaron Hernandez Plead Not Guilty For Witness Intimidation Charge

FOX 25 in Boston reported Monday that Hernandez's attorneys have recently filed four motions in his appeal to overturn his conviction with the Bristol County Superior Courthouse in Fall River.

One of those motions is titled, "Defense Motion for post verdict inquiry respecting a juror's exposure to extraneous matters."

Hernandez's legal team is claiming that during the former New England Patriots' murder trial, one of the jurors was exposed to information that could have critically impacted the trial's outcome.

The convicted murderer's lawyers have requested that the documents be sealed and kept from the public so it is unclear what the exact nature of these allegations is.

Brad Bailey, who is a legal analyst for FOX 25, revealed, "These are experienced lawyers, they know the rules, they know the hurdles they have to reach. Clearly there is something there or they wouldn't be doing it."

Could Hernandez wind up being a free man? Time will tell as his appeal's court proceedings more forward as well as his various other court proceedings in regard to other cases with different charges.
