Both companies are pleased with the partnership--the video technology loves the game, and the developers are glad to see their gaming improving with Nvidia's effects.

ARK: Survival Evolved is powered by Unreal Engine 4, allowing the developers to use custom branches on the engine to integrate Nvidia's GameWorks technologies to its graphics. GitHub is a popular Web-based Git repository hosting service used in the game development industry to share code.

ARK: Survival Evolved is an open world survival game featuring dinos as enemies and useable mounts. The game combines sci-fi weapons and technologies with crude tools and constructions, allowing players to craft, build, and survive. Online multiplayer is a huge part of the game, and interactions with others will shape your progress.

"When we first got a look at ARK: Survival Evolved, we we're instantly hooked. Riding Dinosaurs while shooting guns, enough said," stated Dane Johnston, GameWorks content manager, Nvidia. "The team at Studio Wildcard has created a uniquely challenging world and we're incredibly excited to be working hand in hand to enhance the PC experience."

"ARK looks better and is more immersive thanks to Nvidia GameWorks," said Jesse Rapczak, co-founder and co-creative director, Studio Wildcard. "Nvidia has made it possible for teams like ours to drop in state-of-the-art, high-quality solutions to tough visual effects problems, which is often the difference between having a feature and not having it at all."

Ark: Survival Evolved is available now on Steam Early Access, but it will not be hitting PS4, Xbox One, and full PC launch until summer 2016.
