Today Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff is getting updated on iOS and Android with a Godfather-themed event that sees Peter Griffin joining the mob.

Download the free update and you'll see the special Mobsters event load up right away. This event will run from now until July 9 at 3:00 p.m. PDT, and offers brand new costumes, characters, buildings and decorations to unlock.

"Don Corleone comes to town to start up his counterfeit cookie operation. The Don hires Peter to take care of his business and squash the competition. Can Peter keep his family safe on the road to riches? Will the mob life be more than what Peter bargained for? Can Peter eat a hundred cannolis? Watch the action unfold with Peter Griffin as The Fatfather."

Besides The Fatfather, there are new outfits for Louis, Brian, and Cleveland, who is doing a riff on Don King.  

There's also the usual new currency to collect, this time delicious "Gurl Scout" cookies. As you complete quests and character actions you also increase your Mob Rep, which will earn you various prizes at certain stages. Earn 17,500 Rep and you'll unlock the final prize, Kingpin Consuela, who comes in her very own white Scarface outfit.

The Fatfather himself is the first new outfit to unlock, but you'll have to collect a number of items to unlock him, or just splurge on him with Golden Clams. Once you've unlocked any of these items they'll be yours forever.   

This is the latest in a number of fun events for the very successful Family Guy mobile game. If you haven't played it, it's one of the better free-to-play games out there, and is available on iOS and Android.
