For the first time in several months, President Obama woke up this morning knowing exactly where he would wake up for the next four years, The White House.

Obama defeated Mitt Romney and won a second term as president of the United States.

According to CNN, Obama currently holds 303 of the Electoral College votes while Romney holds 206. The winner of Florida's electoral vote has yet to be projected as it is still too close to call.

A groundbreaking move after the president's re-election, Colorado and Washington voters have passed the legalization of marijuana for all use. The drug is however, still banned under federal law.

Colorado's vote for the 64 amendment to the states constitution makes it legal for anyone over the age of 21 to possess marijuana and for businesses to sell it.

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper told ABC News that the voters have spoken and they have to respect their will.

"This will be a complicated process, but we intend to follow through," Hickenlooper said. "That said, federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug so don't break out the Cheetos or gold fish too quickly."

The 64 amendment legalized marijuana for anyone over the age of 21 at certain retail stores. Government officials believe the passed bill will generate millions of dollars for the state government.

Washington State has also made small amounts of Marijuana for people over 21, ABC News confirmed.

Also in Massachusetts, voters approved the legalization of marijuana for medical reasons. They are now part of 17 other states that allow it.

Marijuana has been legalized in California since 2005, but congress still has power to criminalize the drug under the Commerce Clause.

Although these states voted for the legalization of marijuana, Oregon, however, did not pass that law.
