Police are still trying to figure out what happened to Bobbi Kristina Brown leading up to the moment she was discovered unconscious in her bathtub in her Roswell, Ga. home back in January.

Brown remains in a treatment center after being in a coma for nearly three months following the incident. But authorities are not sure what happened. Roswell Police Department’s Chief of Police Rusty Grant said the case is still open.

“Criminal investigations remain active until a decision is made not to prosecute an individual(s) or a person is prosecuted, adjudicated and all appeals are exhausted,” he told People Friday.

As far as what phase the case is in right now, attorney Julie Rice added Bobbi Kristina’s future will determine what the police do moving forward.

 “They are most likely waiting to set the outcome of whether or not she dies before bringing any charges. They would most likely wait until if she died to bring charges rather than bring charges when there is no death involved.”

Still, anyone the officials might be eyeing isn’t completely in the clear just yet.

“If they do have a suspect in mind, they are probably monitoring that person at all times,” Rice said.

In the meantime, the family is still shutting down rumors that they are looking to take the 22-year-old off of life support. In the latest reports reps for her grandmother, Cissy Houston and her aunt Pat Houston said that is not true at all.
