Matt Prokop tweeted something that sounds a bit relevant to his break-up with actress Sarah Hyland.

On Friday, Prokop took to Twitter to mention that he would rather be single for a year than be in a relationship that pretty much means nothing.

Even though he didn't mention Hyland's name, it might come off as suspicious that he could feel like dating someone new would feel like a "rebound." He might feel that way, but the actress doesn't appear to since she's moved on to actor Dominic Sherwood. The two made it official a while ago and they definitely seem to be in a good place in their lives.

Meanwhile, Hyland spoke to Seventeen about how she was born with a lot of health issues and it made her see life in a special way.

"When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me: if I can't have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one," the Modern Family star said via News.com.au. "If you set your mind to something, you'll achieve it."

Hyland then discussed how important it is to set a goal even if it takes a long time to achieve it.

"When you're feeling vulnerable, it can lead to doubt and second-guessing," she said. "It will steer you away from your goals and your happiness. Once you have a goal, keep moving forward- even if you're taking baby steps."
