Jennifer Lopez is left to defend herself against allegations that she got a maid fired after a German hotel employee asked her for an autograph.

The actress and singer was staying at the luxury Melia Duesseldorf while on her "Love" tour in Germany, and she was reportedly approached by hotel maid Pray Dodaj, who happens to be a big fan of the multi-talented Lopez, according to The Huffington Post.

Dodaj asked the singer for an autograph and Lopez was said to have turned the maid away at her door and a day following the incident, Dodaj was fired.

"They said that Ms. Lopez complained," Dodaj told the Post. "I was fired right on the phone! Because an autograph!"

The "Maid in Manhattan" actress defended herself via Twitter on Wednesday, insisting that she would not get anyone fired over an autograph.

She wrote:

Forty-three-year-old Lopez was backed up by her representatives.

"Jennifer always goes out of her way to meet and greet fans as evidenced by her recent tweets 2 meet engagements backstage, as well as stopping to sign autographs and say hello to hotel staff," her rep told TMZ.

The hotel management at the Melia Duesseldorf confirmed with Lopez that no one was fired, although hotel director Cyrus Heydarian told E! News the maid acted inappropriately, according to TMZ.

"She has acted contrary to the contractual arrangement and disturbed the privacy of our guests," Heydarian said to E! about Dodaj.

Dodaj has been reported to have two job offers already lined up, including one at a hotel in Monchengladbach, according to the Post. Lopez will continue her world tour, with performances lined up in Finland, Turkey, China and Australia. She is scheduled to finish her tour in Puerto Rico in December. Additionally, her new song "Goin' In," which features Flo Rida, is available on iTunes.
