According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, things were so bad for Shannon that she wanted to quit reality television altogether, until she realized that her story could help other couples out there dealing with infidelity.

She said, "It was a difficult decision coming back to the show because it's a reality show and we are both honest so we knew we had to address the infidelity as part of what was going on in our lives. What's important to both of us, as corny as it might sound, is we want to give other couples hope that even if there is infidelity, or something devastating in a relationship, if you both work and make the effort and love each other, you can get out. You can get through it and get through in a better position than you started out in."

What's more, it looks as though Shannon and David are slowing dealing with their marital issues and are doing so in front of the camera, too. The blonde beauty added that she is giving her husband major props for telling his side of the story to a national audience.

She explained, "David agreeing to talk about everything on the show is the ultimate commitment - as far as trust goes. He is not only accountable to me, but everyone who watches."

The couple have been married for 14 years and as of press time, it doesn't look like Shannon will be pulling the plug on their relationship anytime soon.
