Mary-Kate Olsen and her significantly older boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy indulged in some public displays of affection as they attended a basketball game together on Saturday.

Olsen, 26, and Sarkozy, 42, visited Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weekend to catch the New York Knicks play against the Dallas Mavericks.

The pair seemed very much in love as they took in the action, with Sarkozy smooching Olsen during the game and even giving her hair a playful tussle.

Olsen's relationship with Sarkozy has been controversial because of the 16-year age difference between them. Sarkozy, who is a banker and half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, got a divorce in 2011 from his wife Charlotte, who has called his relationship with Olsen "grotesque."

Olsen and Sarkozy took their relationship to the next level in August when they moved in together. Sarkozy paid the full asking price - $6.25 million - for a five-story, 4,200-square-foot home in New York's East Village that was built the year Abraham Lincoln became president.

Before buying the East Village home, which includes nine fireplaces and a large garden, Sarkozy sold his townhouse on New York's Upper East Side, which he originally listed for $11.25 million, but the final price for the home was much lower at $8.4 million.

Olsen, who has recently transitioned from acting to focus on fashion design, has a history of high-profile relationships with famous men. She has previously dated David Katzenberg, son of DreamWorks partner Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos.
