Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have ended their relationship.

The 18-year-old pop star split from Gomez, after a nearly two year courtship.

Sources told E! News that the high profile couple broke up a week ago. The source claimed the cause for the couple's split was "their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship."

Another source told Gossip Cop that Gomez had "trust issues" with "the Biebs."

The news did not come as a shock to many- the couple was rumored to have relationship troubles for several months now.

"Selena can be so dramatic about Justin's exes, who aren't even in her league! They both engage in really petty arguments and it's killing their relationship," a source reportedly told Radar Online.

Bieber dispelled the rumor at the time to Oprah Winfrey for an upcoming interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter." The media mogul posted a review clip of their sit-down on her website of Bieber discussing his fondness for the former Disney star.

On Wednesday, Nov.7, Bieber displayed signs that he may have already moved on. The teen singer reportedly flirted with models backstage at the 2012 Victoria's Secret fashion show.

The following day, he became romantically linked to model Barbara Palvin, 19, who walked on the runway for the lingerie brand.

First, Palvin and Bieber took a picture together backstage at the fashion show.  A day later Bieber went to see "The Lion King" on Broadway with the Hungarian model.

Palvin confirmed that she attended the Broadway show when she tweeted, "Lion king ! ❤"

Bieber's friend Lil' Twist tweeted the picture of him with Bieber and Palvin. The image must have caused a stir, because it has since been removed from his Twitter account. But not before the watchful eyes of Gomez who made  it apparent that she knew who Bieber was with.

Gomez, 20, retweeted the photograph of the trio - Bieber, Lil' Twist and Palvin.

Later, sources confirmed the "Jelena" split to E! News.

Gomez and Bieber went public with their relationship in February 2011 when they attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party together.
