Although The Hunger Games saga has stuck to the plot of the Suzanne Collins books, a new report by Movie Plot has written its own possible alternate endings for the final in the series.

New Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 Footage To Be Unveiled At Comic Con Next Month

Movie Pilot has some pretty interesting suggestions to create a finale twist and leave fans -- expecting the regular climax -- wondering what just happened. The report has ingeniously suggested a different form of retribution for Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) to execute Coin (Julianne Moore) instead of Snow (Donald Sutherland). In the books, she is exiled to District 12 as an insane person. But Movie Pilot wonders if a different punishment could be in store for her, i.e. "made an honorary tribute in the continuing Hunger Games."

This could be a very clever ending and perhaps a fine way of even extending the series.

Earlier this year, Den of Geek reported that after a new round of calls with investors the search for new stories to continue with the series is on. According to the publication, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer stated that they were looking for sequel or prequel possibilities. He said that they were "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities" for The Hunger Games.

He went on to add that they were inspired by Warner Bros.' move to do something more with the Harry Potter series.

The movie is the fourth and final installment in the Hunger Games series of films. The first was The Hunger Games, followed by Hunger Games: Catching Fire, followed by Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

Part 2 also stars Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Helmsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy and Moore as President Alma Coin.

The movie will hit theaters on Nov. 20.
