Terror will likely be the biggest emotion the cast of Fear The Walking Dead feels as they deal with beginnings of the zombie outbreak in Los Angeles.

'Fear The Walking Dead' Will Contain Answers To Questions From The Original

In the first official promo clip released by AMC featuring a scene from the series premiere, the terror is evident as Nick (Frank Dillane) runs for his life from what may be the first Walker he has ever seen. In his state of shock and pure terror, he sprints off by escaping out a window, down an alley and into the street, stopping briefly only to pull up his pants as they threaten to fall.

The series is expected to pick up the story where the original series, The Walking Dead, fast-forwarded the timeline in their first season. In that series, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) was put into a coma after a shoot-out with criminals, and he woke up to an already overrun town infected by the disease that brought the dead back to life.

Conan O'Brien Gives Fans A Sneak Peek At 'Fear The Walking Dead'

The new series, set across the country in L.A., will begin during the time where Rick was in a coma, at the onset of the outbreak. Because it will be unfamiliar and strange to the cast on the show, the terror on Nick's face in the clip could be genuine from the lack of knowledge about what he has encountered.

However, fans of the series have joked online about what he is really running from in the video. On YouTube, where AMC posted the clip, several fans have commented to suggest that the run of terror is due to a situation that is completely different from the bigger one that will soon be affecting him.

"Only thing I could think of watching this was Daddy came home and he had a shotgun," one fan commented.

"Looks more like an opener...probably find out the chicks husband just got home...that would be funny," another said.

"Looks like his girlfriend's parents just came home from work," another added.

"He was banging his girlfriend and then her dad came home early and she said there was no way," another chimed in.

"Or he could be running away from a pissed off dad. Looks like he was shagging some girl. We don't know the context," another wrote.

Fear The Walking Dead premieres this August on AMC.
