Jessica Simpson's Parents Divorce Finalized; Tina and Joe Split Due to 'Conflict of Personalities'

According to a Life & Style report, the 34-year-old singer and mother of two was seen “slurring and stumbling” during Evan Ross’ June 4 performance at The Sayers Club in Los Angeles, and now, her mother, Tina, is “suggesting" they go to rehab together.

“Jessica’s drinking has gotten out of control, and she uses Adderall as a diet drug. One minute she’s fine and the next minute she’s talking nonsense and acting all crazy,” a source told the magazine, according to a Radar Online report on Friday.

The magazine source also noted that Tina had “drowned her sorrows in vodka” during her split from Joe Simpson in 2012, and "is planning to try and convince her daughter that the two can get help side by side."

Although Tina has since moved on from her divorce, and is now engaged to Jon Goldstein, wants to put any issues “squarely behind her before she walks down the aisle.”

“Going to rehab with Jessica means she can kill two birds with one stone," the source continued. "Tina sees it as a win-win for mother and daughter.”

Jessica is currently married to former NFL player Eric Johnson, and the couple has two children together.
