The Voice Season 8 showed off some fierce competition amongst a sea of many talented singers, but so many of them bonded and became great friends too despite competing against each other.

Throughout the competition, viewers got to see a brilliant bond form between Pharrell Williams' teenaged team members, Sawyer Fredericks and Mia Zanotti otherwise known as Mia Z.

Mia Z made it all the way to the Top 12 before getting eliminated and Fredericks admitted to missing having her around by the time the final four was decided.

The young musician dished about his bond with his former teammate to The Voice's YouTube channel as seen in the video below.

"I'm still in touch with Mia, but it's very difficult not having her here anymore because I felt like she was kind of the person I could lean on," Fredericks revealed.

Since Fredericks has won the competition and returned home to his farm in Upstate New York, he has been very vocal on Twitter about wanting to collaborate with Mia Z.

The duo recently even dished how much they miss each other!

On Tuesday, Mia Z gushed, "Miss you!!!!!" while tagging Fredericks and sharing a photo from behind-the-scenes during the competition.

The Voice winner responded with, "miss you too," while sharing a different behind-the-scenes picture of them from the competition.

The Voice will return to NBC in the fall for its ninth season.
