Meanwhile, there was a rumor a while back saying that the couple had called it quits in their romance before giving it another shot. According to Contact Music, things have been better now that the hype of Johnson's blockbuster film 50 Shades of Grey has died down.

"Now that things have slowed down, they're in a good place," an insider said.

A report from Hollywood Life claimed that the actress had been focusing on promoting the sexy film instead of her relationship, which could've created some issues for the two.

"[Dakota] has been way too busy to focus on any attention to her relationship and Matthew totally shut her out of his life because of that," a source said.

It was also mentioned that Hitt was not happy that his girlfriend agreed to be in the film.

"He hated that she took the film," the source said. "He hated all the talk and rumors that she was in a relationship with [co-star] Jamie [Dornan] but that was obviously all in his head."
