Kathy Bates is looking forward to working with Lady Gaga on FX's American Horror Story this year.

Lady Gaga's Part In 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Will Be 'Bananas Good'

Gaga is set to star in the show's fifth season, American Horror Story: Hotel, her first major TV acting role. Her fellow cast members will include such legendary actors as Bates and Angela Bassett as well as stars like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer and more.

Bates recently spoke about Gaga in a new interview with Larry King, expressing her excitement and curiosity over Gaga's addition to the cast.

"Don't you think she's gonna be good? Wasn't she great with Tony Bennett? And when she sang on the Oscars, my jaw dropped. I kept thinking okay she's gonna to make a punk out of this," Bates said.

Bates also admitted that she is curious to see how Gaga interacts with the other cast members while performing, though she has confidence in her.

"I'm very curious. But she seems to be - from what I've seen from her earlier stuff especially - very much of an actress and a performer," Bates said. "So it'll be interesting to see whether she's got that back and forth - she listens and responds - but I think she'll probably be good."

Very little has been revealed about AHS: Hotel other than the cast and a few character details. Gaga's character will apparently be in a love triangle of sorts with Bomer's character and Finn Wittrock's character. It remains to be seen if Gaga will be the star of the season or if she will be a supporting player, but it will surely be a sight to behold.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX.
