War is announced in the first trailer for the film, as Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) leads her ragtag band featuring Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick, portrayed by Sam Claflin, and Messalla, played by Evan Ross.

The video starts with celebration and a wedding with Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) by Katniss's side, but things quickly slide into Katniss' war song.

"Snow has to pay for what he has done," Katniss says in the clip.

She then proceeds to call on the people to join forces with her, and they are seen filling out into the city square.

"We all have one enemy, he corrupts everyone and everything, he turns the best of us against each other, tonight turn your weapons to the Capitol," Katniss says,

Katniss is also seen making amends with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) as she hugs him in the clip. But the trailer ends on an ominous note as President Snow threatens Katniss, "Oh dear miss Everdeen, the game isn't over." Things start to spiral out of control here on, as Katniss and her crew are attacked from every side, in an equally dangerous version of The Hunger Games.

At the previously held CinemaCon in Las Vegas, director Francis Lawrence dished about the status of the movie's production in various interviews.

Speaking to IBT he revealed that most of the scenes were shot in "real" locations, and not simulated. By way of an excuse of a spoiler Francis stated that "Fans can finally see the conclusion of the series."

He went on to reiterate that Katniss would rise like the Phoenix and take over.

"This one finally closes the story out," he said. "This is where we see Katniss reignite and she goes to the Capitol. She goes to war."

In an interview with Collider, he revealed that they were not quite done filming yet and that there was one more scene left to shoot. "There's one scene that we need to still shoot, we had a horrible winter in Atlanta and we didn't get a spring in time, we needed greenery and we didn't get greenery, so we're going to go back sometime in late May and shoot one last scene," he said. "But other than that we are really working on visual effects and sound and the music's being written. It's exciting."

A recent Venture Capital report revealed that Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 might give fans more on Katniss and Gale's relationship. Sourcing an interview with Jennifer in which she gave some insight on her relationship with Gale in Mockingjay Part 2, the publication suggested that the friendship between the two will be taken to a whole new level.

"I loved that. Katniss and Gale have such a rich history, which we've never been able to fully, fully explore to the extent we do in this film," Jennifer said in a recent interview. "Up until now it always more about Katniss and Peeta. But there are so many complexities to Katniss and Gale and that relationship because before Katniss went into the Games, Gale was the only person who really understood her and knew her because they grew up together."

The movie will hit theaters on Nov. 20.
