According to a new report, Angie Simpson was being eyed for a position on season six, vut after turning the role down, she's paved the way for a Taylor Armstrong return.

Angie Simpson “was being pursued to join the show,” an insider told Radar Online on Wednesday. “She came very close to signing a contract, but ultimately decided not to. Producers were left in the lurch because they were confident that Angie would be on board.”

As Cody Simpson's mother turned down her chance at reality television fame, Taylor Armstrong and her husband, John Bluer, returned to Beverly Hills from Colorado, and quickly reunited with her co-stars, including Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer and Kyle Richards.

“She was moving back to Southern California from Colorado with new husband, John Bluher, and so it worked out. She definitely wasn’t a first choice, or even third,” a source told Radar Online of Armstrong's return to Bravo.

“Taylor has signed a contract and will be featured on RHOBH this upcoming season," a source explained to Radar Online on Tuesday. "John was reluctant to move to California, but he knew it meant a lot to Taylor, so he agreed.”

In addition to the returning wives, Bravo is siad to be looking for “two more very glamorous, wealthy women that will stir up the drama on the show."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return to Bravo this winter.
