It appears there has still been no progress when it comes to getting a release date or even a trailer on the highly-anticipated Kickstarter-funded Blue Mountain State movie.

Darin Brooks Updates Fans On 'BMS Movie' Progress

The film, titled The Rise of Thadland, was initially slated for a Spring 2015 release, but has been increasingly pushed back and is not potentially slated for a 2016 debut--news that has continued to infuriate fans who helped donate money to get the project off the ground. Stars including Alan Ritchson and Darin Brooks have since spoken up on social media to say that the film's distributors, Lionsgate, have been the ones behind the hold up, but haven't offered reasons why.

Now, it appears that even a trailer for the film is being held up by Lionsgate, according to a tweet Ritchson sent out Nov. 25, after one desperate fan asked if at least a trailer could be seen since fans were still waiting on the movie.

Fans Beginning To Believe 'BMS' Movie Is A 'Sham?'

"We made 1! LGF won't let us release," he replied to the fan's request. Ritchson offered no further insight into the situation, though he did later retweet a meme made by a fan making fun of the delays a few days later.

Ritchson did reveal in a Reddit AMA chat back in September that Lionsgate wasn't sure what they actually wanted to do with the movie anymore, but that all of the buzz about it has created the possibility of the show being revived after its sudden cancellation after only three seasons.

However, there have been no further updates since.
