On Monday, Daily Mail posted photos of the actress with her three-year-old son, Jackson, in Los Angeles going for a walk. As the child's face was not in sight, he can be seen holding his mom's hand wearing a long-sleeve shirt and shorts.

Theron looked happy and healthy to be embracing the sun with her little boy. She sported a black top with a fancy long skirt and sunglasses as her hair and skin glowed beneath the sunlight.

It was announced in Us Weekly last weekend that Theron adopted her second child, an African-American girl named August. It's unclear on where exactly she was when her mom was out with Jackson, but based on how the actress looked in those pictures, it seems like everything is going pretty smoothly.

Theron, who is now a single woman since she and actor Sean Penn called it quits, will be celebrating her 40th birthday this week. In a report via Times of India, she mentioned how excited she is to be entering this age.

"People are so concerned for me. It's okay," the Oscar winner said. "It's such a weird thing that we put so much...I think especially for women. I'm so happy to be in my 40s and not be in my 20s and worried about whether I fit into my skinny jeans or whether I will be able to get into that club."
