Kailyn Lowry traveled to Los Angeles during last night's Teen Mom 2, and her husband Javi Marroquin wasn't happy about it.

During the show, Marroquin slammed his wife for leaving him and the kids at home while she traveled to the west coast, even going as far as to call her a "bad mom." But now, fans are learning why Lowry simply couldn't turn the trip down.

"Kailyn was invited for a once in a lifetime opportunity," an insider told Real Mr. Housewife on Thursday. "She didn't just arbitrarily decide to pick up and leave her family so she could go on a random trip. Rather Kailyn was invited to join Sterling's family at the Grammy Awards."

On the show, Marroquin was seen calling and texting his wife throughout her trip, and he wasn't kind with his words. Ultimately, his communication with Lowry caused a rift between her and Sterling, whose mother had arranged for Kailyn to attend the exciting event.

Real Mr. Housewife's insider continued on, defending Lowry against critics.

"People quick to criticize that Kailyn was spending money also should know that she did not pay for it. Sterling and her family paid for Kailyn to go with them," the insider explained.
