Brandi Maxiell wants to make sure that Mehgan James isn’t trying to get too close in a new clip of VH1’s Basketball Wives LA.

In the never before seen footage, James wants to meet with Maxiell and Shaunie O’Neal to discuss all of the drama that went down at Jackie Christie’s commercial screening. But she’s hit with Maxiell’s truth that they aren’t even cool like that.

James admits to the ladies that she “felt attacked” and “like I don’t have any friends in the group.”

She called out Maxiell for being one of the ladies who gangs up on her.

“We’re not friends,” Maxiell said. But she did soften the blow when she added, “But I do like you. But I think you’re really outspoken.”

O’Neal chimed in and said she was proud of James for defending herself against the wolf-pack like attacks from the other ladies.

Maxiell said, “You had a valid point to defend yourself…But when you say what you said that was aggressive… Your words were way more harsh.”

Maxiell said James was wrong when she came for Draya Michele and even brought her boyfriend Orlando Scandrick and their children into the mix.

Still, O’Neal called out Maxiell for not “pulling Draya’s coattails” and making her back off because she was indeed wrong in the matter.

“If you’re gonna play with somebody…,” O’neal warned.
