Believe it or not, there's a good chance that Donald Trump might be the GOP's Presidential candidate for the upcoming election. A new report says the outspoken celebrity-turned-politician is still leading in the polls, despite his attack on Megyn Kelly during last week's GOP debate on the Fox News Network.

According to NBC News on Tuesday, Trump is at the top of the poll with 23 perfect, following by Senator Ted Cruz at 13 percent. The overnight poll was conducted for 24 hours over the weekend.

Ben Carson is in third place with 11 percent, with both Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio following behind him with 8 percent each.

During that time, Trump made headlines once again for suggesting that Kelly might have had her period and that's why she was giving him a difficult time during the GOP debate on Thursday night.

Trump told CNN that his words were taken out of context when he said, "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever."

The 69-year-old clarified his statement by saying, "Who would say that? Do you think I'd make a statement like that? Who would make a statement like that? Only a sick person would even think about that."

He then blamed his opponents and the media for firing up the controversy even more by suggesting that he was talking about a woman's period when instead, he meant to refer to her "nose or ears."
