Stephen Colbert is starting off his Late Show gig in a major way.

Not only will Colbert welcome A-list actor George Clooney, he'll also be interviewing Republican presidential contender Jeb Bush, and featuring musical guest Kendrick Lamar, who was his final musical guest on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report.

In a second tweet, Colbert spoke of Bush, and joked about the number of candidates running for president.

In response to the host's tweet. Bush wrote back, "Only if you have at least two of us on each show. Looking forward to joining your first #LSSC next month!"

Colbert was named as the replacement for David Letterman in April of last year, following the longtime Late Show host's retirement.

"Stephen Colbert is one of the most inventive and respected forces on television," CBS Chairman and CEO Les Moonves said in a statement, via CBS News. "David Letterman's legacy and accomplishments are an incredible source of pride for all of us here, and today's announcement speaks to our commitment of upholding what he established for CBS in late night."

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres on Sept. 8.
