Kristen Taekman defended her longtime friend, Brandi Glanville, during The Real Housewives of New York City season seven reunion.

During a segment in which the cast discussed wives from other franchises, Taekman alleged Glanville had been painted in an unfavorable light on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' recently-aired fifth season.

"I definitely think she was misrepresented [last season on RHOBH]," Taekman told Andy Cohen during the reunion, according to a report by Reality Tea on Friday. "I think that she's going through a very hard time, and continues to, like many of the women on this cast have been going through some rough times."

In addition to her rough times, which Taekman didn't elaborate on, the Real Housewives of New York City star claimed the fact that Glanville wasn't actually friends with the majority of the cast also played a part in her portrayal.

"I genuinely don't think she's really that close of friends with many of those women and I think that really shows," Taekman explained. "I think Yolanda really had her back and they have a great bond. I don't think a lot of those women understand her. And, you know, people love to hate her, but she's been nothing but good to me. She's actually a really great friend."
