Ashton Irwin very recently discussed anxiety and depression on his Twitter, even personally tweeted a fan that claimed to be on her own in dealing with these mental health issues, but he insisted she would always have his support.

His bandmate Michael Clifford divulged days later during their concert in Detroit that he has been seeing a therapist as seen in the video a fan took below.

He did not go into many details, but the fact that he shared that with a massive crowd is telling. He wants his fans to know it's okay to struggle.

The band seems to stand for that with their sophomore studio album Sounds Good Feels Good releasing soon. The band actually just talked to Billboard earlier this week about the album's focus and Irwin dished they will touch on topics they haven't previously including those revolving around mental health.

"Sounds Good Feels Good is not the same as the last album at all. It's very personal to us," Irwin shared, explaining, "The writing is a lot more emotional and explores different subjects that we haven't written about before. It really connects with us emotionally. We talk about childhood, we even touch on parents' divorce and stuff like that as well. We touch on love, heartbreak, loneliness, depression, anxiety -- all types of stuff."

Irwin even tweeted Thursday that he just wants fans to have the album already in their "minds and hearts" so it sounds like it is quite personal and the band is willing to get that emotionally vulnerable, showing growth in them in more ways than one.
