Fans of One Direction just reached a new level of jealous when it comes to Liam Payne's girlfriend Sophia Smith since the dreamy 1D hunk braided her hair and showed it off on Instagram!

The 22-year-old took to Instagram Sunday night to show off his hair braiding skills during some on the road downtime.

He joked that he'll be taking over for Lou Teasdale when it comes to grooming his and his bandmates' hair before shows and other events.

The 1D member seemed quite pleased with his braiding technique as he said, "Don't think I did too bad, what do u think?"

On Twitter fans kept tweeting him that he needs to braid Harry Styles' hair next, but he replied to one fan in particular, divulging that the youngest 1D member is incapable of sitting still so it likely will not happen.

Payne's new tattoos are on display in the photos above, but he had to point out to another fan that the purpose of those photos was to show off his "world class braiding technique."

It definitely seems as though Payne has mastered the classic braid.
