Well, it's finally here. The first ever The Late Show hosted by Stephen Colbert hits the airwaves tonight and we, like a lot of other people, can't wait.

Scheduled for the couch are George Clooney and Jeb Bush, although we wouldn't be surprised if some other famous faces popped up for the premiere episode.

It's been more than a year since CBS announced that Colbert would be replacing late night legend David Letterman and nearly nine months since Colbert last hosted a show--which was the final episode of his beloved (and groundbreaking) Comedy Central series The Colbert Report.

Sure, he's still been around, building a respectable YouTube presence (kind of a must-have for anyone in the talk show game these days) and making Jon Stewart cry during the latter's last episode of The Daily Show, but the world has sorely missed having Colbert on the airwaves.

So tonight from 11:35 p.m. to 12:44 a.m. (which is an extended nine minutes from The Late Show's normal time slot) will be a welcomed relief.
