The dramatic ride continues on Switched on Birth.

'Switched At Birth' Creator Teases 'Special' Episode

In the last episode, Toby and Lily finally came to a conclusion on what they want to do with their unborn child who's been diagnosed with Down syndrome. As every member of the family had their opinions on what they should do, Lily made it clear that a woman should make that decision for herself. And in this situation, the decision happened to be that she and Toby are keeping their child.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on Monday, series creator Lizzy Weiss revealed a few things coming up, including how things might go down in the baby shower.

'Switched At Birth' Creator Says Series Is 'Not Over'

"There were some leaked photos of a baby shower, and at the baby shower, something comes up," Weiss said. "You can imagine that having a shower for a Down syndrome baby might be a little different for some people, whether it should be or not. So we bring that up in the shower."

The creator also mentioned that the nightmare of Bay's previous sexual assault will be brought up again when Tank returns. The kids are also going to be heading somewhere without the adults.

"We are still dealing with the fallout from the campus assault, so Max Adler will be coming back at some point as Tank," Weiss said. "And we have a special episode coming up where the kids go on a trip together. It's our first episode where it's kids only, no parents, and it's for spring break."

Switched at Birth airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
