Grande didn’t know surveillance cameras were rolling when she and her rumored boyfriend licked donuts on display in a shop in early July. She was also pretty rude to the cashier and claimed that she “hated” America and said Americans are overweight in the video that went viral shortly after, which caused her to get lots of backlash.

Well now Grande has opened up about the ordeal with Good Morning America.

She said during an appearance Tuesday, “My behavior was very offensive and I apologized. There’s no excuse, or there’s nothing to justify it. But I think as human beings, we al say and do things that we don’t mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it. That’s part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes. That’s how we grow.”

She went on to say that what she has learned from it all was how “excruciating” of a feeling it is to know that she “disappointed” so many of her fans that look up to her.

She added, “You have to remember that your words, your actions have ramifications and you have to really think about what you say and do because it’s important to so many people.”

She also launched a brand new fragrance called Ari by Ariana Grande.
