You can expect some "bromance" between Charming (Josh Dallas) and a Camelot character when Once Upon a Time returns for season 5.

Emma Does Something 'Particularly Bad' To Her Loved Ones on 'Once Upon a Time'

The first half of the upcoming fifth season will feature our heroes heading to Camelot, where they will meet characters like King Arthur (Liam Garrigan), Guinevere (Joana Metrass) and more. Their mission is to find Merlin (Elliot Knight), who is the only one to be able to cure Emma (Jennifer Morrison) of her darkness.

Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke about this storyline in a new interview with TVLine.

Will Regina Become An Even More 'Heroic Character' On 'Once Upon a Time' In Season 5?

"You have some big personalities [in Camelot]," Kitsis said. "You've got King Arthur, Guinevere, there are rumors that Lancelot (Sinqua Walls) is on his way back... Camelot and the search for Merlin is very germane to the central goal of our heroes. And while some people are going to immediately [befriend our heroes] - you're going to see a huge bromance between Charming and King Arthur - some people might be more skeptical of them."

There won't be any significant time travel for our heroes to get to Camelot, as the showrunners explained.

"It works just like The Enchanted Forest or Arendelle," Horowitz revealed. "They're all just a few days ride away from each other."

Much like with previous new characters, we will get some origin stories for King Arthur, Guinevere and others in season 5. There will also be a flashback for Merida (Amy Manson), another new addition to the cast.

Once Upon a Time season 5 premieres Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
