While several fans of Kaley Cuoco were shocked when she and husband Ryan Sweeting announced they were ending their marriage after only 21 months, some were less shocked after endless rumors hinting the couple's relationship was on the rocks.

Rumors have plagued the pair almost since they said 'I do,' and though they spent quite a bit of time refuting all of them, the rumors may have been the very things detailing the problems in the pair's relationship.

Here are three rumors which may potentially lead to the truth behind the couple's divorce:

Money Problems:

Rumors first began circulating last fall that Sweeting was only with his wife because of her money-not long after she successfully scored a pay raise where she earned $1 million per episode of The Big Bang Theory.

"Ryan knows that his tennis career is all but over," sources said at the time. "He doesn't have the ambition to compete for the big bucks. And why should he? He has a rich wife."

Disagreements About Babies:

The couple was rumored to not be on the same page about when to have kids, with Cuoco allegedly wanting to have kids as soon as possible, but Sweeting wanting to put it off.

They Didn't Really Know One Another:

The most common rumor surrounding the couple involved the fact that they married so quickly-only six months after they began dating, with rumors often suggesting they didn't really know one another as well as they believed.
