Bridget Marquardt is newly engaged, and earlier this week, the former Girls Next Door star showed off her unconventional engagement ring on Instagram.

After seven years of dating, Nicholas Carpenter popped the question to 42-year-old Marquardt, and she said, "Yes."

"Happy Oct. 1st!!! Oh...and... Did I mention @nicholascarpenter and I are engaged?" Marquardt wrote to fans on Instagram on Thursday, along with the first photo of her diamond spider engagement ring.

In the background of Marquardt's engagement ring read the message, "Til death do us part."

A short time later, Marquardt returned to Instagram, where she revealed details about the ring.

"For those asking about my engagement ring... @nicholascarpenter wanted to get me something traditional & I wanted something different & unique!" she explained of the stunning, but unexpected, ring. "It's a diamond paved spider (not a black widow) designed by @lynn_ban & it is absolutely perfect for me!! He knows me well!"

Following her engagement, Marquardt appeared to reunite with her former Girls Next Door co-star, and fellow Hugh Hefner ex-girlfriend, Holly Madison, for a round of congratulatory drinks.

Kendra Wilkinson, the third star of Girls Next Door, has yet to speak publicly about Marquardt's engagement news.
