Jennifer Lawrence graces the cover of the February 2013 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the headline "The World's Most Desirable Woman."

In the issue, the 22-year-old actress dished about several topics - being "slaughtered" on the red carpet, relating to her "Hunger Games" character and being star struck.

She explained why she was able to relate to the Katniss Everdeen character she played in "The Hunger Games." When she had to get hair and makeup done during the Oscar season last year, it was as awakward as it was for her, as it was for Everdeen in the book.

"I read the Hunger Games books when it was Oscar season, so for the first time I was in these dresses which didn't look like me and didn't feel like me. I felt like a walking rag doll. I remember sitting there in hair and makeup, listening to the things that they were talking about, and most of the things I didn't even know.... So I read that and I was like, 'I know exactly how that feels.'"

She admitted that while a career in film has been lucrative, she has yet to feel mature enough to buy her own place to live in.

"I'm not ready to own a place yet. I have the money, but I don't have the maturity."

Lawrence confessed that it is uncomfortable to walk the red carpet at film premieres and that she dislikes everything from dealing with the paparazzi to the critics.

"It's uncomfortable having to pose when people are shouting at you and the next day you just get slaughtered. You walk out there and go, 'Hate me!'"

She even confessed to being star stuck and "terrified" of certain celebrities.

"Once I'm obsessed with somebody, I'm terrified of them instantly. I'm not scared of them - I'm scared of me and how I will react," Lawrence admitted.

"Like, for instance, one time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher's face and said, 'Not now, Bill!,' and I just stared at Meryl Streep," she joked.

Lawrence was recently voted the world's most desirable woman in an international poll released by AskMen.com.

"'The Hunger Games' star rose to the top of the list from No. 47 last year on the heels of the box-office smash while buffing her credibility as a quirky, sex-mad young widow in the independent film "Silver Linings Playbook," said AskMen editor-in-chief James Bassil, according to Reuters.

Lawrence bumped last year's winner, Sofia Vergara of "Modern Family" fame, down to No. 12, while reality star Kim Kardashian plummeted to No. 98

The issue of Vanity Fair featuring Jennifer Lawrence on the cover is on newsstands now.
