Based on the promo for next Sunday's episode, he might come off as a good guy, but Alison seems a bit nervous. As Cole drives others around in a taxi, he comes to the acceptance that he is no longer married where people around him are handling it worse than him.

Meanwhile, Noah and Alison get confrontational when Noah finds out that his manuscript was already read by her when he wasn't ready. This makes Alison hesitant about how she fell in love with a writer since they apparently have "secret worlds."

Cole is also going to visit Alison, but she won't be prepared for that. While he looks happy to see her, there might be something up his sleeve that his ex needs to prepare for.

Noah is still dealing with issues from his marriage to Helen since both of them made mistakes. In an interview with Glamour, Maura Tierney (Helen) admitted that her character wasn't always there for her husband when she should've been.

"She wasn't always supporting him as an artist," Tierney said. "She was emasculating him a bit with her wealth. She would never say to her parents, 'F---ing leave him alone.' This season we're really exploring her staunch refusal to stick up to her parents."

The Affair airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.
