Celebrity couple Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin have given their insight on a current controversial issue.

On Sunday, Tonkin took to her Twitter page to post a statement about gun violence and what it would be like if it were treated the same way as abortions are. The quote talks about how a woman choosing to get an abortion takes a lot more effort and risk than someone wanting to buy a gun.
This statement is something that Tonkin clearly supports and was proud to share.

As for the actress's boyfriend, he went on Twitter to post an article about the effects of guns and how it's becoming a bigger problem when people don't support control on these weapons.
"Those who fight against gun control, actively or passively, with a shrug of helplessness, are dooming more kids to horrible deaths and more parents to unspeakable grief just as surely as those who fight against pediatric medicine or childhood vaccination," The New Yorker writes. "It's really, and inarguably, just as simple as that."
In Wesley's tweet, he wrote that he hopes people will see the issue of gun violence and realize that it shouldn't be treated as "complex."
