A plane crashed into a Florida home on Friday killing all people on board and nobody on the ground, according to media reports.

The plane crashed into the house of a middle-aged woman at around 2:19 p.m. Friday, according to CNN. The pilot of the single-engine plane had reported a mechanical problem and declared an emergency at about 2:10 p.m., NBC's affiliate WESH reported.

The pilot was preparing for an emergency landing at Flager County Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The owner of the house was identified by Florida's Highway Patrol as Susan Crockett. She reportedly dived through a closed window to get out after the plane crashed and was taken to the hospital, reports CNN.

"She went right through the glass window," neighbor Joe McBride told CNN. "She's banged up, but she's going to be all right."

He added, "She's lucky to be alive because that house is a wreck."

Another neighbor described the crash to WESH.

"The house was in flames, and there were explosions - boom, boom, boom - inside the house," neighbor Armando Gonzalez said, according to the TV station.

The airplane was heading from Fort Pierce to Knoxville Downtown Island Airport in Tennessee, according to the Associated Press.
