A judge in court granted actor Jude Law $200,000 on Thursday over phone hacking practices by one of Rupert Murdoch's british tabloids.

Murdoch's company News International agreed to pay Law 130,000 Pounds to settle the claims against the News of the WOlrd tabloid and The Sun. News Group Newspapers admitted that it published a total of 16 articles between 2003 and 2006 with information obtained by hacking the phones of the actor.

The company said it would not comment on the agreement.

Law is among the celebrities receiving payouts from Murdoch. A total of 60 people have sued News Group Newspapers claiming their cel phones were hacked.
