Just days after Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill were photographed filming for the upcoming season, Taekman has announced her exit.

"My experience during my time on RHONY was fantastic and I made some great new friends," Taekman told E! News in a statement on Monday. "At this time in my life, I have decided to concentrate on my family and my new business ventures Pop Of Color nail polish and Last Night's Look, my fashion blog. I will remain a Housewife and part of an amazing franchise forever and that is what is important."

Just months ago, Taekman found herself in the midst of scandal when the UK's Daily Mail revealed her husband's name in a massive leak of Ashley Madison users. Although Josh Taekman initially denied having anything to do with the dating site, which encourages affairs, he later released a statement to PEOPLE Magazine.

"I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family," he told the magazine in August. "We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."

The Real Housewives of New York City season eight will premiere on Bravo sometime next year.
